Flood Assessments and Investigations
We utilise HEC-RAS 6.6, a powerful hydraulic modelling tool, to analyse burns, river and floodplain dynamics. The software enables detailed simulation of water flow, allowing for accurate assessment of flood risks from fluvial sources like rivers and streams.
We use HEC-RAS to model various flood scenarios, including extreme weather events, and to determine flood extents, flow velocities, and water levels. This ensures that my reports provide precise, data-driven insights into the flood risks at a given site, allowing for the development of effective mitigation strategies in line with Scottish Planning Policy and SEPA guidance.
